The Ministries of Public Health and Social Affairs Join Forces with Hoffmann-La Roche to Tackle Hepatitis B and C
Tests to detect hepatitis B and C will be available at a 50% discounts through public hospitals and at other select locations for the coming two months. In an effort to combat these chronic liver diseases which tend to lie dormant in the body for years and often lead to liver cirrhosis, scarring and liver cancer, Hoffmann-La Roche has partnered with the Ministry of Public Health, the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Lebanese Society of Gastroenterology, the Lebanese Society of Infectious Diseases and patient support/awareness group HepAttitude Positive to launch “Don’t ignore it…Get tested!” the country’s first Hepatitis B & C Awareness Campaign. The launching took place on the 19th of July at the Phonecia Hotel.
