الصحة تؤكد استمرار حملتها الاستباقية للتلقيح ضد الكوليرا وتؤكد ألا اصابات حتى الان

 
صدر عن المكتب الاعلامي في وزارة الصحة العامة البيان التالي:

يشكل اعلان المصلحة الوطنية لنهر الليطاني عن رصد جرثومة الكوليرا في مياه النهر في الحوض الأعلى، عاملا اضافيا من العوامل التي دفعت وزارة الصحة العامة منذ الثامن عشر من آب الماضي إلى تكثيف الترصد والاستنفار وإطلاق حملة تلقيح استباقية ضد الوباء.

وقد شملت الحملة الاستباقية التي لا تزال مستمرة حتى يومنا هذا البلدات والمناطق المحيطة بالنهر  باعتبارها مصنفة علميا من الأكثر تعرضا لخطر انتشار الوباء، إضافة إلى بلدات ومناطق أخرى مماثلة في تصنيفها العلمي في مختلف المحافظات اللبنانية، علما بأن الفئات المستهدفة من عمر سنة وما فوق.

يهم وزارة الصحة العامة الإعلان انه حتى الساعة لم يتم تسجيل أي إصابة بالكوليرا في لبنان، مع التشديد على وجوب تجاوب المواطنين وأخذ اللقاح المجاني والآمن عن طريق الفم، حتى ولو تم أخذ اللقاح في الحملة السابقة قبل سنتين. وتعيد الوزارة التأكيد أن هذا اللقاح ضرورة للحؤول دون معاودة انتشار الكوليرا في لبنان خصوصا مع معاودة انتشار الوباء في سوريا.

وقد بلغ عدد اللقاحات التي تم إعطاؤها حتى اليوم مئتين واثنين وثلاثين وستة عشر لقاحا (232616). وستستمر الحملة حتى تحقيق مناعة مجتمعية حفاظًا على السلامة العامة.

يذكر أن الحملة تنفذ بدعم مالي من المفوضية السامية للأمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين والبنك الألماني للتنمية، ودعم تقني من منظمتي الصحة العالمية واليونيسف، حيث انتشر في المناطق والبلدات المذكورة مئة وثلاثون فريقًا ميدانيًا بالتعاون مع الجمعيات الشريكة التالية: أطباء بلا حدود وعامل وميدار (MEDAIR).
