من اجل صحتك... امتنع عن التدخين الآن! 

يبدأ الناس بالتدخين في سنّ مبكر بسبب تأثير الأصدقاء أو الأسرة، أو بهدف  الاسترخاء، التخفيف من الملل و الضغط النفسي او تماشياً مع العادات السائدة. لذلك، قوي الشخصية هو الذي لا يتأثر بمحيطه ومن قادر على أن يقول لا للتدخين! 
 


أما بالنسبة للّذين يدخنّون والكثير منهم يريد وضع حدِّ لهذه العادة من اجل المحافظة على صحته و صحة الآخرين. والإقلاع عن التدخين ليس خياراً سهلاً و العديد من المحاولات يمكن أن تفشل. من أجل الاقلاع عن التدخين، بإمكان العديد من الأساليب/ النصائح أن تكون مفيدة:
 
  1. الالتزام هو نصف الطريق للنجاح
 
  1. D’s 4 لتخفيف الرغبة في التدخين: 
 
  • Delay : تأخير الوقت الذي تطلب فيه سيجارة، فإنّ الرغبة في التدخين تتلاشى في بضع دقائق
  • : Drink Water شرب الماء و إبقائه في الفم لدقائق
  • Deep Breath : التنفس العميق والبطيء 5 مرات
  • Distract: إلهاء نفسك وصرف الانتباه مع صديق أو بنشاط  معين لنسيان التدخين لهذه الدقائق القليلة
 
  1. :Cold Turkey مثل الإقلاع عن التدخين فوراً أو تخفيض عدد السجائر تدريجياًّ دون مساعدة خارجية / علاج /  دواء
 
  1. : Nicotine Replacement therapy مثل مضغ النيكوتين واستعمال المستنشقات. هذه  المنتجات تحتوي على النيكوتين دون التبغ، ولكن الهدف من الإقلاع عن التدخين هو ايضاً التوقف عن الإدمان على النيكوتين وليس مجرد التوقف عن استخدام منتجات التبغ. لكن يمكن اعتبارها  بداية جيدة!
 
  1. :Behavioral Therapy العلاج السلوكي حيث يقوم المستشار بوضع خطة لتغيير هذه العادة أو الظروف التي تؤدي إلى التدخين
 
  1. وصف الدواء في حالة وجود صعوبات كبيرة في الاقلاع
