After the welcoming address of MP Hamadeh, Minister Jabak thanked the warm reception, stressing on the work to put Hermel of the Health map, support the hospitals and health care centers, provide the needed equipment and health services, raise the financial ceiling of the region’s hospitals and provide the necessary medicines without the need to wait at the doors.
 
Jabak then moved to Hermel Governmental Hospital where he was received by the chairman of the board of directors Simon Naser Eddine and the Medical Director Hossein Sakr, before he toured the departments of the hospital to identify its need.
 
Jabak expressed shock at the lack of a cardiac care unit and an equipped ambulance response unit for an area with a population of over 100 000. “We aim at securing the necessary equipment, developing a blood bank and raising the financial ceiling. The funds have already been allocated for the rehabilitation of the governmental hospitals, pending submission of details of an integrated project with the MPs,” Jabak added.
 
Jabak visited later Batoul Hospital and Al Assi Hospital.
