الأبيض إلى الولايات المتحدة للقاء مسؤولي البنك الدولي والجمعيات الطبية اللبنانية - الأميركية والمشاركة في اجتماعات الصحة في الجمعية العمومية في نيويورك

 
توجه وزير الصحة العامة في حكومة تصريف الأعمال الدكتور فراس الأبيض إلى الولايات المتحدة الأميركية، في جولة يستهلها في واشنطن باجتماعات مع البنك الدولي تهدف إلى البحث في مشاريع لتمويل القطاع الصحي والدعم الممكن تقديمه للتحول الرقمي للقطاع، بالإضافة إلى متابعة طلب لبنان الإستفادة من الصندوق الذي تم إنشاؤه للوقاية من الأوبئة والجوائح والتأهب والتصدي لها والذي كان البنك الدولي قد أطلقه بالتعاون مع منظمة الصحة العالمية.

وتشمل الجولة في أبرز محطاتها المشاركة على مدى أيام ثلاثة في اجتماعات الجمعية العمومية للأمم المتحدة المخصصة للشأن الصحي والبحث في أنظمة الرعاية الصحية الشاملة. وستشكل هذه المشاركة مناسبة لجملة لقاءات مرتقبة مع وزراء الصحة الحاضرين ورؤساء الوفود من الدول والمنظمات الدولية المعنية بدعم القطاع الصحي وتطوير خدماته.

وستتضمن الجولة مشاركة الوزير الأبيض في مؤتمر الجمعية الطبية اللبنانية الأميركية (ALMA) في أريزونا حيث يبحث اوضاع النظام الصحي في لبنان والاستراتيجيات التي اطلقتها وزارة الصحة العامة لاعادة تنظيمه وسبل التعاون مع الاطباء والعاملين الصحيين الاميركيين من اصل لبناني، بالإضافة إلى محطات أخرى محورها البحث في إقرار مشاريع داعمة للقطاع والنظام الصحي في لبنان ومن بينها اجتماعات مع مسؤولي جمعية الصحة للشرق الأوسط (HOME) و مع الجمعية الطبية اللبنانية العالمية (ILMA) ولقاءات حوارية مع أبناء الجالية اللبنانية وأطباء لبنانيين وأميركيين متحدرين من أصل لبناني في هيوستن وبوسطن ونيويورك.
