"وردت الى وزارة الصحة العامة بتاريخ 5 كانون الأول بلاغات عن حالات مرضية تسجل منذ 30 تشرين الثاني في بلدة الجاهلية في قضاء الشوف.

بناء عليه باشر الترصد الوبائي عملية التقصي. فتبين انه لتاريخه، تم تسجيل 23 حالة، مع ظهور عوارض شملت الحمى، الاسهال وتورما في الوجه.

وفي متابعة للتحقيق في الأسباب، تم الكشف على الملحمتين الموجودتين داخل البلدة مع جمع عينات تم ارسالها الى مختبر مصلحة البحوث الزراعية التابع لوزارة الزارعة. كما يتم تقييم سلامة المياه في البلدة مع جمع عينات المياه للفحص المخبري.

سيتم الإعلان عن النتائج العلمية للفحوص المخبرية التي سيتم التوصل اليها فور إنجازها حرصًا على توضيح اسباب الحالات المسجلة ومنعًا لتسجيل المزيد".
