The Director of the National E-Health programme Mrs. Lina Abou Mrad received for the second consecutive time an award and a certificate of recognition after winning the Excellence award for the smart applications for the MOPH app on smart phones- at the level of Republic of Lebanon on 27 April. The award ceremony was held in Kuwait under the patronage and in the presence of Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and the Chairman of the Central Agency for Information Technology.
 
Kuwait has already hosted the 7th session of the smart government awards competition, where many Arab institutions won the best smart applications award in the presence of Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs in Kuwait, Mr. Pierre Moukarzel the president of smart government award, the general director of the Central Agency for Information Technology in Kuwait Eng. Kossai Chatti, the UN head of policy for IT development, expert Ayman Charbini, as well as the Ambassador of Lebanon in Kuwait Maher Kheir and a number of ministers and ambassadors of the winning states.
 
Moukarzek noted that the smart government award is considered as the most important award in terms of the smart applications in the Arab World; these awards have been designed by the Pan Arab Excellence Awards Academy in collaboration with the Arab Organization for Social Responsibility many years ago for brilliants in the field of website and applications design and development. He stressed that the selection of winners for smart applications was done by a committee of experts and professionals and based on standards that focused on the creativity side, the ease of use, the structure of the application, in addition to the content and the credibility in the app.
