Hasbani from Jbeil: The Region has Faced a Significant Shortage in the Healthcare Services and we Work Hard today to Improve its Healthcare Centers

 
NNA- Deputy Prime Minister Health Minister Ghassan Hasbani pursues his visit to Jbeil, where he was greeted in Qartaba governmental Hospital by Former Deputy Fares Souaid, the President of Jbeil Municipality Federation and Qartaba Municipality President Fadi Martinos, the Hospital Director Obed El Sokhen, Presidents of Municipalities, mayors, priests, judges and people from the region and the nearby villages.

“The ambitions of the region are to equip the hospital in a way to fulfill its needs and provide the basic healthcare services during winter”, said lawyer Wajih Khoury, head of the board of Directors. “The hospital has continued to provide the healthcare services within its limited capacities since its inauguration, in spite of the shortage in equipment and the difficulties in providing human resources”, he added.

Hasbai visited Jouret El Kattine to lay the foundation stone for a slaughterhouse in the presence of Engineer Jean Jebran representing the president of the Free Patriotic Movement, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Eng. Jebran Bassil, Chawki Daccache representing the President of the Lebanese Forces Dr. Samir Geagea, Jbel District President Najoua Soueidan, the President of Jbeil Municipality Federation Fadi Martinos, the Lebanese Forces Coordinator for Jbeil District Charbel Abi Akel, the Free Patriotic Movement Coordinator in Jbeil Toni Abi Younes, in addition to presidents of Municipalities and figures.
After the Lebanese anthem, Eng. Jean Khoury stated that the slaughterhouse is the first modern one in Lebanon and it is considered as an urgent need, since human being is nowadays exposed to diseases and deadly health incidents.”

In his statement, Hasbani welcomed the launch of this project “which is considered as key to food safety in Lebanon. It is an example to be followed.”
“Such projects help significantly to reduce risks and improve the quality of meat in the market”, he added.
