The Ministry of Public Health announces that it will start to apply the 2D Data Matrix on pharmaceutical products, given the importance of this project in the development of the health system, by tracking the medicines, and combatting counterfeiting in order to ensure the safe provision of medicines to patients.

The pilot phase will start in January 2018 on the information system through a mechanism that consists of tracking the medicine from manufacturing to storage, distribution and provision to patients.

All pharmacies wishing to participate in this pilot phase and work on the information system are asked to submit an application to the Ministry of Public Health by 30 December 2017 via the following e-mail ehealth@moph.gov.lb .
