MoPH: There is no Carcinogenic "Rice" in Lebanon as Claimed by some Syrian Media

 
The Information Office of the Ministry of Public Health issued the following statement:

Some Syrian media outlets have circulated false news claiming that Moph food safety inspection teams headed to different shops across Lebanon and took samples of imported and locally packed rice, which was found to have been exposed to carcinogenic pesticides and substances that cause instant death.

The Ministry of Public Health confirms that these sources were disseminating false information and any statement issued by the Ministry of Public Health is published on the official website of the Ministry: www.moph.gov.lb

The Ministry calls on all the citizens not to panic and to remain vigilant against rumors and false news regarding health care matters.
