Jabak Visited the Mais al-Jabal, Tebnine and Bint Jbeil Hospitals: I will Try to Support the Disadvantaged Areas with the Possible Means

Tebnine- Minister of Public Health Dr. Jamil Jabak visited this afternoon Tebnine Hospital as part of his tours of governmental hospitals in Marjayoun and Bint Jbeil districts. Jabak was received by MPs Ayoub Hmayyed, Hasan Fadlallah and Ali Bazzi, the chairman of the board of directors of the hospital Dr. Mohamad Hamadeh, the administrative body as well as physicians, Hezbollah official Cheikh Fouad Hanjoul and figures.

Jabak visited the hospital’s facilities and heard a briefing by Hamadeh of the equipment and the operations undertaken at the hospital and the large number of patients admitted to the hospital, coming from different regions and villages.

Jabak vowed to exert all possible efforts to provide assistance to the disadvantaged areas within the possible means in collaboration with the parliament and the Health committee.

“I promise to raise the financial ceiling of the governmental hospitals. Our top priority is to improve the quality of services provided by the governmental hospitals and rehabilitate them to admit patients all the month, in particular the uninsured ones,” Jabak added.
Jabak considered also that the salary scale law should apply to the employees and workers of the hospitals.

In a statement, Hmayed praised the effective role played by the Minister of Public Health.

Jabak and the MPs then visited Bint Jbeil Governmental hospital, where he was received by the chairman of the board of directors, Dr. Toufic Faraj and other figures.

“We are committed to provide a pioneering experience in the health care field. We deserve to have the best hospitals. Bint Jbeil Governmental hospital has the best equipment, so why should we transfer the patients to other hospitals or take them to hospitals in Sidon and Beirut?” Fadlallah stated.

Jabak visited later Mays al-Jabal Governmental Hospital with MPs Ali Fayyad and Kasem Hachem. He toured its facilities and departments and was informed on its needs in terms of the provision of medical services.
