إستقبل وزير الصحة العامة د. جميل جبق المجير الإقليمي لمكتب اليونيسف لمنطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا خيرت كابالاري ترافقه ممثلة اليونيسف في لبنان تانيا شابويزا، وذلك في إطار الجولات الدورية التي يقوم بها كابالاري على مكاتب المنظمة المنتشرة في المنطقة. وتناول البحث المشاريع المشتركة التي تنفذ في لبنان بين وزارة الصحة واليونيسف وكيفية تعزيز التعاون لما يحقق المصلحة العامة.

كما التقى الوزير جبق النائب د. فادي علامة ترافقه رئيسة جمعية Champs Fund د. منى عثمان. وأوضح النائب علامة أن البحث تركز على ضرورة وجود آلة مزيل الرجفان القلبي AED في الأماكن التي يتعرض فيها الشبان ولا سيما الرياضيون منهم لخطر توقف القلب المفاجئ، خصوصا أن من شأن هذه الآلة إنقاذ حياة من يتعرض لهذا الخطر. وقد وعد الوزير جبق بالعمل على تحقيق هذا الأمر في أسرع وقت ممكن، مؤكدًا أنه سيعمل على إعداد مشروع مرسوم بهذا الخصوص ويحيله إلى السلطات المختصة بهدف تحديد الأمكنة التي يتحتم وضع هذه الآلة فيها بدءًا من المدارس والجامعات إلى الأندية الرياضية والأماكن العامة المكتظة والمحال التجارية الكبيرة، كما ضرورة إضافة هذه الآلة إلى منظومة الإسعافات الأولية المعتمدة في لبنان.
