The Minister of Public Health Dr. Hamad Hasan received in his office a delegation of International organizations working in Lebanon that included the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Lebanon, the acting Humanitarian Coordinator, UNRWA Director in Lebanon, WHO representative in Lebanon Dr. Iman Shankiti and the UNHCR representative.

Minister Hasan noted that it had been agreed on a strategy according to which the efforts of the international institutions shall be joined up under the umbrella of the Ministry of Public Health to guarantee transparency. He added that the joint strategy aims at keeping up with the prevention intervention plan proposed by the Ministry to control COVID-19 and strengthen the readiness of the governmental hospitals that are providing all the residents with the necessary health care services, without discrimination.

Hasan stressed on the need to emphasize the role of the supporters and donors in fulfilling the needs of the public health sector without taking into account any political considerations.
