في سياق المتابعة المستمرة لملف الدواء وما يواجهه تأمينه في السوق من تعقيدات مالية، عقد وزير الصحة العامة الدكتور فراس الأبيض خلال الأيام الماضية، سلسلة اجتماعات شملت نقابة المستوردين وتجمع الشركات العالمية لاستيراد الأدوية ونقابة مصانع الدواء ومصرف لبنان المركزي بهدف إرساء آلية تطبيقية محدثة للتحويلات المالية إثر قرار مجلس الوزراء استعمال حقوق السحب الخاصة.
 
وقد أدرج على جدول أعمال الجلسة المقبلة لمجلس الوزراء بند ينص على طلب وزارة الصحة العامة بتحويل المبلغ المالي الشهري المخصص لاستيراد الدواء والبالغ خمسة وثلاثين مليون دولار.
 
واليوم بدأ عدد من المصارف باستلام طلبات المستوردين لتمويل عمليات الإستيراد، بحيث من المتوقع بدء وصول الأدوية خلال الفترة القريبة المقبلة، على أن تعطى الأولوية لأدوية الأمراض السرطانية والمستعصية.
 
إن الوزير الأبيض يأمل أن يؤدي هذا الإنفراج والجهود المواكبة إلى إعادة عجلة استيراد الدواء إلى مسارها الطبيعي والسريع بعدما توقفت لمدة شهرين على التوالي، مكررا دعوته جميع المعنيين إلى إيلاء المسألة الأولوية الإنسانية والأخلاقية بعيدا عن الحسابات الأخرى، لأن المرضى لا يستطيعون تأجيل علاجهم أو الإمتناع عنه.
