The Student Delegation that Took Part in the World Health Assembly Stressed the Need to Provide Medical Support to Lebanon

 
 
أعلن الوفد الطالبي الذي شارك في تمثيل لبنان في أعمال الدورة الخامسة والسبعين لجمعية الصحة العالمية في جنيف، أن هذه المشاركة هي الأولى من نوعها للبنان، حيث كان الوفد من بين سبعة وفود أخرى تضم طلابا شبابا، وكان الوفد الوحيد من بين الدول التي تصنف من المتوسطة والمتدنية الدخل.
 
وأوضح الوفد في بيان أن "الطلاب الثلاثة المشاركين (جورجيو توميه، سارة بعيني وليا حبيب)، أعضاء في اللجنة الدولية لطلبة الطب في لبنان "LeMSIC"، وهم من طلبة الطب ويتجهون للتخصص في علوم الصحة العامة. وقد شاركوا في عدد كبير من الإجتماعات الجانبية والمغلقة للمنطقة والبلاد العربية ومسؤولي منظمة الصحة العالمية، وقدموا في خلالها ستة تقارير عن الحالة الصحية في لبنان، حيث ركزوا على الواقع الراهن ووضع العاملين في القطاع والصحة العامة في حالات الطوارئ، إضافة إلى تراجع نسبة التحصين الروتيني ولا سيما لقاح شلل الأطفال. وأكدوا أهمية دعم لبنان، خصوصا أن نظامه الصحي أثبت طيلة الفترة الماضية قدرته على تطوير الأداء والمساهمة في تحسين المؤشرات الصحية بحسب توصيات منظمة الصحة العالمية".
