MoPH Launches a Vaccines Campaign against Cholera in Anticipation of its Renewed Spread

بعد ظهور حالات مصابة بوباء الكوليرا في سوريا وتحسبًا لانتشار الكوليرا مجددًا في لبنان، أطلقت الوزارة يوم الإثنين الماضي حملة تلقيح ضد الوباء في بلدات في محافظات بعلبك الهرمل والبقاع وعكار باعتبارها تصنّف علميًا من الأكثر تعرضًا لخطر انتشار الوباء.

تنفذ الحملة بدعم مالي من المفوضية السامية للأمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين، ودعم تقني من منظمتي الصحة العالمية واليونيسف، حيث انتشر في المحافظات المذكورة مئة وثلاثون فريقًا ميدانيًا بالتعاون مع الجمعيات الشريكة التالية: أطباء بلا حدود وعامل وميدار (MEDAIR).

وقد بلغ حجم اللقاحات التي تم إعطاؤها حتى يوم أمس الجمعة ستة وخمسين ألفا وسبعمئة وتسعة لقاحات (56709).

وستستمر الحملة في الأسابيع المقبلة حتى تحقيق النتائج المطلوبة.

وتدعو وزارة الصحة العامة المواطنين في البلدات المستهدفة إلى التجاوب مع الحملة وأخذ اللقاح المجاني حماية لصحتهم.
