الصحة تؤكد التواصل مع هيئة الطاقة الذرية: لا أدلة حتى الآن على استخدام اليورانيوم في الاعتداءات الاسرائيلية ضد لبنان 


صدر عن المكتب الاعلامي في وزارة الصحة العامة البيان التالي:

تعقيبا على ما ورد في بيان صادر عن مجلس نقابي في لبنان حول استخدام جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي قنابل تحتوي على اليورانيوم المنضب، يهم الوزارة التوضيح أنه وبقصد التحقق، تم التواصل في هذا الشأن مع الهيئة اللبنانية للطاقة الذرية.

وقد أكد مدير الهيئة الدكتور بلال نصولي أن ليس من أدلة على استخدام اليورانيوم في الاعتداءات الاسرائيلية ضد لبنان حتى الساعة وأن بيانا علميا سيصدر في هذا الشأن في وقت لاحق، علما بأن الهيئة هي صاحبة الاختصاص والصلاحية في هذا الشأن وتقوم بالتنسيق مع الجهات الرسمية والدولية المعنية ليبنى على الشيء مقتضاه. 

بناء عليه تشدد وزارة الصحة العامة على توخي الدقة في تبني معلومات علمية والتسرع في نشرها من دون التحقق من صحتها، وتدعو إلى مراجعة الجهات المعنية حرصا على صدقية المعلومات المتداولة وعدم التشكيك بها خصوصا أن لبنان بصدد التقدم بشكوى  ضد إسرائيل في استخدام الأسلحة المحرمة دوليا إنما بناء على معلومات موثقة ومؤكدة.
