Keen to use the technological means to improve the quality of healthcare services provided and develop mechanisms for work processes and health inspection, the Ministry of Public Health launched on 7 February 2018 a new mobile application “Ballegh Lalsoha” that enables all the citizens to submit a complaint regarding any health violation that threatens the public health and harms the citizen’s health.

Only the registered members on the application are allowed to submit complaints. The Ministry is keen to ensure the privacy and confidentiality of the citizens’ information, and these data are kept at a specific level so as to ensure the highest level of safety and confidentiality for users.
The citizen can send the following information regarding the complaint: the place of violation, type and name of the violating foodstuff company or the type of the environmental violation and the cause for complaint, with the possibility of sending photos, videos or even recordings.
After inspection is carried to ensure the complaint is valid, the Ministry of Public Health takes the appropriate actions and reports to the Municipality on the place of the violation. The Municipality can, in its turn, learn details on the complaints through the application, in an exclusive manner, without knowing the identity of the complainant.
The application shows the geological distribution of violations according to their type, the percentage of violations is determined according to the number of foodstuff companies located in the municipality.
Colors vary as follows:

Complaints less than 10%

Complaints between 10% and 20%

Complaints more than 20%

The Ministry of Public Health warns people against the use of this application to submit false complaint or make allegation against someone to tarnish his reputation, harm or defame him, subject to liability.
We call on the Municipalities, our key partner, to activate the inspection processes, according to the applicable laws, in particular the legislative Decree No. 77/118 which gives the Municipalities the authority to conduct health inspection on foodstuff companies and food safety.

We invite all the citizens to download “Ballegh Lalsoha” App to become a partner in responsibility.

The application can be downloaded for free from the Google Play and App Store through the following link: www.moph.gov.lb/app
