Ministry of Public Health Closes the Doors of a Syrian Dietitian Center in Hamra with Red Wax
 
Therefore, the Internal security Forces and the General prosecutor Intelligence i The Information Office of Deputy Prime Minister Health Minister Ghassan Hasbani issued the following statement:
 
A team from the Ministry of Public Health carried out a raid this Tuesday 30 May 2017 on a center in Hamra based on information provided by a survey website. It was found out that:
 
  • The owner of the center performs the functions of “dietician”, knowing that she is not entitled to do so since she is of Syrian nationality and does not hold a professional license.
  • Her status in Lebanon is illegal since her residence permit expired.
  • She injects her customers with drugs while she is not entitled to do so according to the laws in force, which may represent a risk to their health.
  • A nurse and a physiotherapist are practicing their profession illegally since the center is not licensed to provide medical services according to the standards in force.
Beirut were ask to provide support and the Center was sealed with red wax.
