Hasbani Received from Antoinette Chahine her Book Entitled: "My Crime is that I was Innocent"

The Information Office of Deputy Prime Minister Health Minister Ghassan Hasbani issued the following statement:

Deputy Prime Minister Health Minister Ghassan Hasbani received “Human Right” Ambassador Mrs. Antoinette Chahine who offered him her book entitled “My crime is that I was innocent” published by Dar An-Nahar. The book is about her past experience when she was arrested at the time of the Lebanese-Syrian Security Regime and sentenced to death. Her death sentence was then commuted to life imprisonment before she was set free for acquittal. The book also repots the international support of Human Right Organizations to her case, and her experience as an activist in Human rights’ issues, as she travelled the world to urge full respect for human dignity and rejection of violence.

Hasbani valued the experience and sacrifices of Chahine and her friends and all what the Lebanese forces endured form dissolution to persecution and the arrest of Dr. Samir Geagea. He stressed that the preservation of these sacrifices and the prevention of injustice against any party in Lebanon are achieved by establishing Institution State that will have the final word in Justice, and this is what the “Lebanese Forces” are aiming at and what is translated by their governmental approach today
