The Ministry of Public Health Pursues its Efforts to Include the Governmental Hospitals Employees in Salary Hike

The Information office of Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Ghassan Hasbani issued the following statement:

In the context of the Ministry of Public Health’s pursued efforts to include the governmental hospitals employees in salary hike, a meeting was held in the premises of the Ministry in Bir Hassan with the directors of governmental hospitals across Lebanon, during which all the employees’ suggestions were brought up, as well as the new efforts exerted by the Ministry between the employees and the Ministry of Finance.

The Ministry of public Health has already submitted the suggested wages to the Ministry of Finance for study. Several meetings were then held to study the suitable solutions and find the sources to finance the salary scale law. It is worth noting that any amendment requires a decree issued by the Cabinet, and this is what the Ministry is working to achieve in order to find suitable solutions to include the governmental hospitals employees in salary hike. The Ministry of Public Health is supporting the legitimate demands of the employees and working in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance to find the suitable solutions.
