New Procedures for All Incoming Passengers to Lebanon
Circular No. 6/2 on 24/01/2021
To All Airlines and Ground Handling Companies operating at BRHIA Required procedure for the passengers arriving to Lebanon starting January 27,2021
With Reference to decision 46 dated 21/01/2021, and to the last paragraph of Item 1 of the decision 26 dated 11/01/2021,
All Airlines and Ground Handling Companies operating at BRHIA must follow the following instructions:
All airlines shall reduce the number of arriving passengers to Lebanon per day to 20% of the number of passengers who arrived to Lebanon on board of their aircrafts per day during January 2020.
All Passengers arriving to Lebanon, except children under 12 years old, must perform PCR test in a Lab. certified by the countries Local authorities latest 96 hours between the test result and the date of arrival to Lebanon and to show the test result at check-in counters. Passengers not having negative PCR test result are not allowed to board the plane departing to Lebanon.
Item number 4 of circular No. 7/2 dated 27/01/2021 is canceled, all passengers arriving to Lebanon are no longer required to complete the Medical form issued by Lebanese Ministry of Public Health, which was available electronically through the Link:http://maps.moph.gov.lb/covid19/pass.
All passengers arriving to Lebanon, except Children under 12 years age, UNIFIL and members of diplomatic delegations acting in Lebanon, must perform a PCR test upon their arrival to BRHIA, and all airlines shall collect 50 usd on every passenger wishing to travel to Lebanon, which is the cost of PCR test or other medical diagnostic measures that every passenger shall undergo upon arrival to BRHIA through Labs authorized by the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health at the Airport. The Airlines will pay the collected amounts to the designated handling agents at BRHIA on bi-monthly basis i.e. every 15 days, then the handling agents will pay for the laboratories, which performed the tests based on Invoices stamped by the Ministry of Public Health.
