In the Presence of more than 500 Participants, Deputy Prime Minister Health Minister Inaugurates Beirut International Healthcare Industry Forum and Launches the Universal Healthcare Coverage for each Citizen. Hasbani: Lebanon has Sufficient Capacities to Attract investments into Health sector
Deputy Prime Minister Health Minister Ghassan Hasbani inaugurated this morning “Beirut International Healthcare Industry Forum” organized jointly by the Ministry of Public Health and Al-Iktisad Wal-Aamal.
The opening session was attended by more than 500 participants, at the top of them Minister of Culture Ghattas Khoury, Head of the Parliamentary Committee of Health Deputy Atef Majdalani, Deputy Joseph Maalouf, Regional Secretary General of the World Health Organization Dr. Mahmoud Fekri, the Representative of the World bank Peter Bates and a number of Ambassadors, in addition to presidents of Medical Staff’s orders; hospitals, physicians, pharmacies, laboratories and pharmaceutical factories.
The inauguration was also attended by a large number of company owners working in Lebanon in the health, insurance and university fields.
Minister Ghassan Hasbani
Deputy Prime Minister Health Minister Ghassan Hasbani spoke at the beginning of the forum, stressing the importance of choosing the forum’s timing for two reasons. The first reason is that Lebanon has maintained a high level in the Health Sector at the regional and international levels in spite of all past and current hard circumstances. The second reason is that we wanted to launch a positive interaction between the two branches of Health sector – the investment-economic side and the medical side in all its ramifications and fields from hospitals, physicians and pharmaceutical factories to technology companies and finally modern medicine companies, orders, unions and institutions.
