The MoPH Follows Scabies Cases among Syrians in Abra Public School

The Information Office of the Ministry of Public Health issued the following statement:

After cases of scabies among the Syrian students in Abra Public School were reported to the Ministry of Public Health, the Head of PHC Department at the Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Randa Hamadeh submitted the necessary medicines to the Educational Service in Saida, which, in turn, handed them over to the school’s administration that gave them with its physician to patients and organized a parents’ meeting on the treatment and hygiene instructions.

The district’s Doctor and the school’s physician will examine the students to ensure they are scabies-free upon their return to school next Wednesday, after a decision was taken to close it up to that time. The Ministry of Public Health is collaborating with the UN service for Syrian refugees to conduct a common examination of the residence of Syrian patients.
