On the Launching of the Pilot Phase for the New Emergency Plan within 2025 Strategy Hasbani: The financial Ceilings were Set for the First Time according to a Scientific and Practical Mechanism

Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Ghassan Hasbani launched the pilot phase for the new emergency plan within 2025 strategy, which is implemented in cooperation between the Ministry of Public Health, hospitals and the Lebanese Red Cross. Minister Hasbani tackled the issue of the financial ceilings for hospitals, stressing that they were set based on studies away from political, sectarian and regional accounts, since health is for everyone.

The launching ceremony was held at the premises of the Ministry of Public Health in the presence of Director General Dr. Walid Ammar, the head of the syndicate of private hospitals in Lebanon Sleiman Haroun and the secretary-general of the Lebanese Red Cross Georges Kettani.

Hasbani stressed that the new plan for emergency access is an integrated system to ensure the citizen reaches the closest hospital in order to ensure the optimal use of the emergency capacities to facilitate the fast entry and provide the suitable treatment. He added that our only concern is not to reject any patient or delay the treatment, since we often race against the clock, especially in emergency cases. Hence, the new emergency plan that is included as a third item under 2025 strategy set out an integrated vision, taking into consideration the current problems faced by the citizen, the aid responders, the hospitals, as well as the Ministry of Public.
