Follow-up Visit to Union Healthcare on the Implementation of MediTrack
As part of the ongoing efforts by the Ministry of Public Health to implement the MediTrack system for tracking medications and ensuring their safety, a team from the National eHealth Program, in collaboration with the World Health Organization – Lebanon Office, visited the Union Healthcare warehouse.
The visit aimed to monitor the implementation of the system throughout the supply chain and ensure the warehouse’s compliance with the required standards, in alignment with the national plan for medication tracking and quality assurance.
During the visit, the team observed how medications are entered into the system using the 2D barcode, and how the processes of receiving, storage, and distribution are recorded on the MediTrack platform—reflecting tangible progress in the implementation of this vital system.
The Ministry of Public Health extends its thanks to the Union Healthcare warehouse team for their cooperation and professionalism, and emphasizes the importance of partnership with all stakeholders in the healthcare sector to ensure the delivery of safe and effective medications to all patients in Lebanon.
